Everything LITerary…

Bagus Mutendi is a childhood name that the curator of the blog, Ijeoma Ucheibe grew up with and when it came to naming the blog, the choice was pretty obvious. She has always loved literature and the arts and seeks to use the blog to bring needed awareness to African literature.

Bagus Mutendi also serves as publicist to the prestigious Classic FM 97.3 #BookOnReview show where African literature via books, poems and stories come to life on Saturdays at 9pm every week.

Bagus Mutendi initially started with its chief curator but has been joined by team members from far-flung places like Botswana and Ghana – Joy Molosi & Yvonne Isaac. From time to time, we get contributors like Jerry Chi, Tochukwu Okafor to name a few and recently author,  Affiong Ene-Obong

Ijeoma who is a lawyer works as a practice manager/executive associate at an IFLR rated law firm in Ikoyi, Lagos by day and blogs all day long in odd places and times you wouldn’t think of – lunch break, on the way home, in the restroom, in the studio…..

Bagus Mutendi is not your typical literary blog as we seek to bring colourful fun to the world of literature while keeping it literary-based and entertaining at the same time.

Our ultimate aim is to get people to read more, writers to write more while getting rewarded for their writing and publishers to recognise these voices and get them to be heard around the world.

Do stick around and enjoy these posts, yes? And please spread the good news, will you?
